Linkin Park – Leave out all the rest
Lyrics
I dreamed I was missing, you were so scared
But no one would listen, ’cause no one else cared
After my dreaming, I woke with this fear
What am I leaving when I’m done here?
So if you’re asking me, I want you to know
When my time comes, forget the wrong that I’ve done
Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed
Don’t resent me, and when you’re feeling empty
Keep me in your memory, leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest, don’t be afraid
I’ve taken my beating, I’ve shared what I made
I’m strong on the surface, not all the way through
I’ve never been perfect, but neither have you
So if you’re asking me, I want you to know
When my time comes, forget the wrong that I’ve done
Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed
Don’t resent me, and when you’re feeling empty
Keep me in your memory, leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
Forgetting all the hurt inside you’ve learned to hide so well
Pretending someone else can come and save me from myself
I can’t be who you are
When my time comes, forget the wrong that I’ve done
Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed
Don’t resent me, and when you’re feeling empty
Keep me in your memory, leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
Forgetting all the hurt inside you’ve learned to hide so well
Pretending someone else can come and save me from myself
I can’t be who you are
I can’t be who you are

My friend who preferred to be called Angra or Ver recently sang this song over and over again. Honestly, his voice is so damn ugly and it always giving me headache whenever he used his not-so-well Falsetto.
Once, I asked him “Why you always sing that song. What’s the big deal?”. He turn his face to me and change his mimic from happy to sad, he answered weakly “… That song, reminds me of someone I like. I never be able to tell her how much I like her because I’m afraid I scared her and also, I don’t have much time left…”. I never know what’s on his mind…. #sigh#
A-nyway, I kind of liking this song in the end. The atmoshpere of this song is different than the other LP’s songs which most of them includes the rap and screaming technique. The flow of the music is rather breezy, not so quick and not so slow. It’s got some meaningful rhymes in the lyrics as well.
But, I still prefer Paper cut as my favourite song from LP~~
